Ive been disappointed by app games before that promise challenge and entertainment. Thankfully, this was both and more. I was sad to see it end and am already eager to play the next one. Well done! Fantastic game.

totally loved the style of the game, the puzzles, the graphics, etc etc. totally worth buying.

First: the game is immersive and detailed. The graphic design is awesome. The elements of the game are beautiful. Its fun to just love around and examine objects just to appreciate the lighting effects. As far as puzzles go, theyre relatively easy to solve. Unlike Myst, there are no ways to "back yourself into a corner". Once an option or needed component is successfully unlocked / picked up, it cant be reversed. This means the game moves forward in a methodical way, but I felt like I was being pulled down a stream rather than walking through the woods. There seems to be one and only one order of operations. If you love puzzle games like Myst, youll hate the clues. I only checked a clue once when I couldnt find the way to proceed. The clue was something like "Where would I use something like the object I just picked up". It was less of a clue and more a slap in the face. In the original Room, there was an overarching puzzle to which individual solutions combined to give a coherent solution. I think the RooM Two could have benefited from this same design rather than the completely linear story. Overall, its entertaining and definitely worth the price to support such high quality work. Two minor points for the developers: 1) if youre playing on the iPhone (I was) and you need to read some of the text (I did) it would be helpful to be able to zoom the text bigger. I had to borrow reading glasses to see some of the fine print. 2) the soundtrack is hauntingly beautiful (like that of the reimagined Battlestar Galactica). Perhaps consider making some auditory clues and puzzles. If youre wondering whether you ought to spend a few dollars on this game, stop thinking about it and hit the "buy" button. Youll be very pleased that you did.

The Room Two achieves a thrilling and progressive puzzle challenge. While many more complex puzzles-within-puzzles could be possible for future versions of the app, The Room Two makes the play both exciting and accessible. Highly recommended for players who enjoyed the puzzles of Riven.
